Wardrobes & dressing rooms

Fitted wardrobe runs, walk-ins and full dressing rooms, built to the wall you actually have rather than to a standard carcass width. Painted shaker and panelled doors, Egger board slabs, mirror, smoked and bronze glass, and oak-lined interiors with the lighting built in.

Inside and out

Carcasses are 18 mm Egger board — Halifax Oak is the one most people pick for the interior, because it looks like a piece of furniture when the doors are open. Doors are either sprayed MDF, for painted shaker, panelled and diagonal designs, or Egger Perfectsense for a matt or gloss slab.

Internally: hanging rails at the heights you use, adjustable shelves, shoe shelving, drawer banks with solid oak or ash dovetailed drawer boxes on Blum runners, and Häfele Loox LED strips under shelves and along the sides so that opening a door lights the contents. Sloping ceilings, chimney breasts and eaves are normal here, not an extra.

Dressing rooms usually add an island or a dressing table with a stone or quartz top, mirror doors on one side and glass on the other, and framed glass in bronze or black where the room can take it.

Leyland

A mirrored walk-in wardrobe

Part of a whole-house programme on a new build in Leyland, designed room by room with an interior designer over two years. Mirrored and marble-effect doors run the full length of the bedroom wall, floor to ceiling, so the room reads as bigger than it is and the storage disappears into it.

Behind the doors it is fitted out properly: hanging at two heights, drawer banks and a wall of marble-effect shoe shelving. His side of the programme took glass doors, hers took mirror. The girls’ rooms got two identical units, handed, in Egger shaker doors with a cornice.

Dark-framed bronze glass

A dressing room behind glass

This one is about what happens when the doors open: rustic oak-effect linings, LED strips under every shelf, and a drawer bank at the end of the run so nothing has to live on the floor.

The doors are 4 mm toughened bronze glass set in textured black aluminium profile — the frames are black, only the glass is bronze — with a 10 mm polished bronze glass door on a long handle closing the room off from the hallway.

Our own house

The boot room we built for ourselves

Not a commission. This is the directors’ own house in Worsley, fitted out by our own team over 2023 and 2024 — which is why we can show you every corner of it without asking anyone’s permission.

The boot room is the piece we are most pleased with: sage green tall cupboards, an oak bench top, a hook rail and enough depth to actually take boots and coats. The wardrobes elsewhere in the house are grey panelled doors across the full width of the room.
